Tonoy Saha

I worked as an undergraduate researcher in Dr. Serda’s laboratory through the Undergraduate Pathways Network (UPN) program and a Biochemistry & Molecular Biology undergraduate student at Gettysburg College. In Serda Lab, I am looking at the therapeutic efficacy of TLR9 and STING agonist-modified mesoporous silica nanoparticles in a mouse model of ovarian cancer. Over my past two summers of research experience, I have developed a strong interest in the potential of nanoparticles as targeted carriers for drugs and immunotherapies. My experiences have inspired me with my long-term goal of pursuing a career in translational biomedical research, where I can contribute to the development of safer and more effective therapies for conditions that remain difficult to treat today.
